I've been writing for just over 2.5 years. I was watching music videos on YouTube one night and saw someone in the audience who looked just like my brother when he was younger. It was impossible for it to have been him—wrong time, wrong place—but it was definitely a "what if?" moment and a few days later, I started writing A Thousand Times during my first ever NaNoWriMo. The rest, as they say, is history. :)
