Ray Bradbury,
He has always been a favorite of mine since I was a child. A friend told me the other day he has a 1st Edition of The Martian Chronicles Ray signed for him.
The Shining by Stephen King,
I wished Stephen "Happy Fathers Day" yesterday. It has to be my favorite book he has written all those years ago. I recently saw Danny Lloyd during an interview about his role in movie. How cool would it have been to be able to star in such an icon of a film and book.
Not really, As a teenage I wrote and created comics and did some painting. When I graduated from school I got involved in computer graphics and some programming. I still really enjoy the graphics and use them as I write as storyboard characters to help with the writing flows.
Having a graphic creation background, I really enjoy designing the covers. I use my editor to bounce my ideas off of since editors have a flare for knowing what publishers want in their book layouts. As odd as it sounds, the title of the book is the first thing that I come up with, followed by the storyboard characters graphics, then the story last.
Yes, I read reviews and good or bad they are part of the writing experience. Without them I never know what my readers want and are looking for. It's helps me grow and become better.
I'm afraid I'm modest and though it pleases me when someone tells me they have my books and they enjoy them, I actually feel grateful and humbled by it. In some way it's hard to really express the feelings.
