I do read them. Good one make me smile and, at first, I was really upset by the few bad ones I received, but I realise that not everyone likes the same thing and I don't allow them to bother me any more.
The idea for Rapid Eye Movement came into my head and I let it develop for a while before deciding to write it down. I never considered becoming a writer until then. That was in 2017.
