  - I've been writing seriously for 11 years now, but I always wanted to be a writer. As a reader, I love a plot twist that leaves me blindsided, and I wanted to give other readers that feeling. I've been writing short stories since I was a kid, but finally finished my first novel after several false starts in 2013.
