Relatability to the characters featured. Readability, no one wants to strain their eyes trying to read a sentence. Putting your all into the parts of your story that matter. This list may be simple, but it helps tremendously.
Not being a woman. A big part of my writing is to articulate every thought the MC is having in that moment and its difficult writing a woman's because I don't have intimate knowledge on their thought processes. I try at one point in the book and my pre-release readers never complained about it so I think I did well enough.
