      • I carefully read all reviews, whether they are positive or negative. The positive reviews boost my confidence, whereas the negative reviews seem to be a matter of personal opinion, which does not trouble me, as I understand that universal appeal is unattainable, and individual preferences vary greatly.

      • After publishing my first book, I noticed a significant boost in my self-esteem. It was as if sharing my story validated my abilities and dreams. This newfound confidence motivated me to pursue my next project, and just a year later, I completed my second book. This one is much bigger and more ambitious than the first, and I’m excited about the journey of bringing it to life. Each step has reinforced my belief in myself and my writing, and I can't wait to see where this path takes me next!

      • In seventh grade, I picked up a poem to read that brought me to my happy place and reminded me of picking raspberries in my grandmother's garden and evidence all over my face. While going through hardships while growing up in a toxic environment, I turned my attention to God and wrote poetry as a way not only to heal but also to give me encouragement for my freedom and keep my faith strong. I remember reading my poems at church in my early teens and how different pastors told me that God had a plan for me and that one day, I would have a book published and be free. That encouraged me even more to continue to write and hold onto God that he had a plan for me. Yes, I did leave my old journal of poems behind as I sought freedom, and I do not regret it one bit. Because I Now see the other side that I am free, and I am continuing to write poetry, but this time not so much for healing but to show others what I have endured and give hope and encouragement to those struggling in any aspect of life. I feel as if I am living my purpose, and that is to help others live their lives free.
