I’ve had the chance to explore your work, and it really caught my interest. I’d be curious to hear what you’re working on now or what sparked the idea behind your latest book. Always enjoy connecting with fellow authors in the same space.
What inspired your approach to your stories or themes?
Well, right now I'm sifting through the next two completed manuscripts for the rest of the series and kicking around a few other ideas. I wrote the first outlines of the Gunny Mason series back in the mid 90's. I was at the time however heavily involved with ongoing training in my Fire/Rescue/EMS career. Did the poorman's copyright and set it aside. Picked it up again a while after I retired in late 18'. That was in 23' put the outline together. I have several other short outlines now, just see how things go with this. I stay pretty busy with several other things as well. What about you?
Back away from the keyboard! Personally I go out to the shop and work on a fabrication project. Go out and split some wood, or take the recumbent trike out on a ride. About anything to shake the brain lock causing the writer's block and relax my mind! A good jigger of bourbon, with a good cigar sitting on the porch after the night critters come out to sing! Next thing I know, I'm back on track!
Go and do something completely different for a while. Find that something other than writing that challenges you a little bit. Shake it up a little bit, something that requires your attention to do!
