I was born and raised in PA until I was 11, then my family moved to the east coast of Florida where I finished my schooling. (And met my husband).
What was your dream career when you were a child?I wanted to be a teacher and played school with my two younger brothers.
As a teenager, what were you obsessed with?Andy Gibb, Shaun Cassidy, The Bee Gees. I love music.
How did you get motivated for writing poetry? An unfortunate experience in life.
How many books did you read before writing your first published novel?I'm not sure how many books I've read in total before publishing my novel.

How many books do you plan to write in the "Love, Emma" series? There are three books in my Love, Emma series.
How did you come up with the character of Emma Taylor?I actually wrote my novel in first person, then changed it to third person. Emma is my grandmother's middle name. My grandfather always called her Emma. I fell in love with that name. Emma has a bit of me in her and she has characteristics, nothing like me. I made her similar and different to me on purpose.
What are the challenges of writing a romance book?Writing to market. It's challenging, but it's making me a better writer.
What is one thing you hope your readers will take away from your writing? That not everything we see is what's really going on. Things happen that are beyond our control. Never judge.
How does writing make you feel? When you're not writing, what does a normal day for you look like?Writing exhilarates me. I love creating steamy scenes. When I'm not writing, I spend time with my husband. Watching TV or taking walks outside. I love to watch baseball. The New York Mets are my favorite team. #LGM
If your book broke bestselling record sales and you got the chance to travel anywhere for a book tour/vacation, where would you go and why?Anywhere in the world? New York City or Las Vegas. A third choice would be London.
How would you describe your experience with the world’s number one–ranked free meditation app, Insight Timer?I haven't used this app.
How many plot ideas are just waiting to be written? Can you tell us about one?I have a couple plotlines for two other characters from my Love, Emma series and I have two other plotlines not connected to anything. One I will share is a story of twins. Aimee and Annie. They work at a spa together and want to buy land to build and open their own salon and spa. They hire an architectural firm and a much younger architect, Zach, is assigned to them. He is very flirtatious towards Annie. She's married, but falls in love with Zach. It's a reverse age gap cheating romance, but in this one, Annie, a woman in her mid-fifties, realizes she's polyamorous. She wrestles with how loving two men is even a possibility.
