Born and raised in the midwest, what do you miss about your childhood?
Being able to spend more time outdoors.
Do you remember the first book you read?not off the top of my head.
What are your hobbies apart from writing?illustration, gardening, asian art, reading fantasy or crime thrillers
Are you a fan of Patricia Briggs?not sure. haven't read any of her books.
What do you love the most about gardening?the feel of the earth between my fingers. how being outside relaxes me.
At what age did you begin collecting kimonos?mid twenties
Have you planned all the books in A Stone Wielder's Legacy Trilogy?Besides the 2 published novels, I have a few chapters planned out so far of the third.
What, to you, is an ideal setting or environment for a good writing session?a nice quiet sunny spot where I can spread out my work.
How did you come up with the character name of Ivyssa in "Queen of Swords"?In my fictional land there are 5 regions and each region names their inhabitants with a certain theme in mind. She is from the central region where names are plant themed.
If you ever get writer’s block, where do you go to overcome it, or what activities help you overcome it?If I can, I'll go take a walk, or just go and do something else not writing related.
How did publishing your first book change your process of writing?I have become more organized, keeping all of my notes in one spot and not all over the house.
What other things, apart from writing do you enjoy doing?spending time with my three cats
What is the most unique thing you have found while checking out the local antique store?framed buttery specimens
