Growing up in Northern Virginia, which is your favorite childhood memory?

My favorite childhood memory is playing outdoors with my sister and friends. There was a creek nearby where we'd play. I remember the change of seasons, especially the fall season and the weather turned cold with the leaves changing color to red, brown and orange.

Being a book worm, how many books have you read so far?

Oh I read so many through the years I can't even count, from historical romance, to horror to memoirs. My most favorite authors are Anne Rice and Jean M. Auel.

What inspired you to become a writer? At what age did you write your first book? Did it get published?

It wasn't until a few years ago when I started to read contemporary romance and learned of self-published authors. I connected with them through social media and began to do my own research. I networked with authors, editors, assistants and readers and decided to write my first book, "Salvation in Chaos" in 2017.

What do you love the most about writing MC Romance, Mobster Romance, and Erotica?

I love action, suspense growing up watching mobster movies. I've been riding on the back of a motorcycle for 15 years with my husband and love the biker lifestyle. I love to write about the anti-hero - the bad guy you should hate, but end up loving because you can relate to them in some way.

What inspired the story of your debut novel, “Salvation in Chaos”?

I was at the annual Bike Week event in Ocean City, Maryland and my characters, Ratchet and Sam, along with a story began to develop in my mind. This was the first book I published as an MC Romance.

How did you begin writing the Capitol Corruption series?

I was watching the movie "John Wick" and Keanu Reeves character inspired me to write my first book in the series titled "Pushed".

Which is your favorite Royal Bastards MC book?

Mine - "The Heavy Crown"

Stryker is president of the Berzerkers MC. Who inspired his character?

The model on the cover, Joe Worden actually inspired me to write the character. Joe helped me name my character Stryker and the other characters in the book too. Joe, his wife, Erica Worden are now dear friends of mine and have attended book signings with me.

How did you come up with the story of Ben and Madi in "Reckless Hearts"?

It was January of last year and I guess I was hit by an arrow by Cupid. I wanted to write a short novella for Valentine's Day.

How do you make sure to draw young readers into your stories?

Most of my characters are in their 20's or 30's so I hope that helps interest the younger readers to my stories.

What challenges did you face while setting your book Neon Summer: A Novella in hazy and hot Spring Break, 1987?

I didn't really have any challenges because some of the story is based on my own experiences of that fabulous decade. Since I graduated high school in 1986, I remember when there were no cell phones, internet or social media. The music and style of clothing was so fun back then.

How does writing make you feel? When you're not writing, what does a normal day for you look like?

I feel different emotions when I write my stories from sadness to anger at my characters and even a bit turned on! Ha! A normal day for me is like most people- working a day job and binge watching TV or playing with my 2 dogs.

What is the toughest criticism you've ever received? What was the best?

Toughest criticisms I received were for my book "The Heavy Crown" and the way the female characters were treated. The book contains violence and triggers but I didn't get upset over it because that's the kind of story I wanted to portray. Not every romance is happy and pleasant. The best criticism was that my first couple of books needed more attention to the editing, so I now work with an amazing editor and proofreader.

Which is the next book you are working on? Is it a series or a stand-alone book?

I'm currently working on a Paranormal Romance titled "Blood Moon" and co-writing with my long time friend of 20 years, Rowan St. George. The story is about werewolves, witches and bikers!
