As I mentioned in the introduction to my book Mass Awakening, I survived a childhood living in three completely different countries: Romania, Israel, and Ivory Coast.
Ivory Coast is the most exotic and beautiful country I've ever visited and my fondest memory is when we traveled to an attraction called Taki in the San Pedro area near Abidjan, Ivory Coast's former capital.
To get to this beach, we drove for 2 kilometers inside a jungle with the windows totally shut to avoid anything jumping on us inside the car. We could clearly hear the jungle sounds surrounding us. It was unbelievable! Then when we finally arrived at the beach, we descended a rope bridge that could only fit our feet…. The view when we came to the beach was magnificent and I hope that my description will do justice to the incredible beauty revealed to us…. The dark green jungle on top of the hill, golden sands, rocks scattered on the beach and dark brown water of the Atlantic Ocean.
I loved swimming in this water and barely came out of it until the high tide arrived which made it too high for me.
Do you remember the first book you ever read? No. I always loved reading books and was a 'bookworm', or better 'book dragon'
Shoshi Herscu survived a childhood living in three completely different countries: Romania, Israel, and Ivory Coast. She was always a 'bookworm'. She has a BA degree in English linguistics and special education. She used to write for a popular alternative news site which was called “Israeli Patrioti”. Her book "Mass Awakening" is an informative read full of useful and important references.
