Ambere Sabo
BIOGRAPHY

I am a working mama of three munchkins who lives in Texas. I have always tinkered with writing but never had the nerve to actually publish. Life is too short not to give it a go so here we are. When I'm not spending time with my babies, or writing, you can almost always find me listening to music or reading a book.

Ambere Sabo Interview On 04, Jan 2018

"Ambere sabo writes amazing romantic suspense stories. She is a working mother of three children who lives in Texas. She says that she could change her genre in future. Ambere measure her success in the readers and friends she has gained. With great art, she also possesses great thoughts too. She believes that if someone wants something badly enough they can learn or do whatever it takes to be successful in anything they do in life, writing or otherwise."
Which place are you proud to call your hometown? Do you still live there? If not, how often do you visit?

Flagstaff Arizona. No, I moved to Texas a few years ago but try to get home for a visit every year or two.

If you could describe yourself using only five movie and/or book titles, what would they be?

Wow.. um.. Falling Down, jaded, Bite the Bullet, how to date a douchebag, perfectly toxic.

What got you into writing romantic suspense?

I'm not sure I'll stay in romantic suspense forever, honestly, but writing, in general, is something I've done most of my life. Finally publishing was the hard part. My mom passed last summer at only 52 years old, something like that makes you realize just how short life can be. So, I stopped being scared people wouldn't like what I had to say and hit publish.

Do you think being a writer is a talent one needs to be born with or is it something one can learn and be good at if one tries hard enough?

I think if someone wants something badly enough they can learn or do whatever it takes to be successful in anything they do in life, writing or otherwise.

Walk us through your writing process when you first begin to write a new book/series. Of researching, writing, and publishing/marketing, which one takes the longest or which one drains you the most?

Cessy took me only 6 weeks to write, the words just flew but I had no clue what all it took for marketing. I find marketing to be the most draining but also the most necessary if you want people to see your work.

During what period of your life did you write "Cessy" and how does it reflect your thoughts and ideals from that time?

I wrote Cessy almost a year after my mom passed. A lot of what Anna went through with cancer was pulled from that experience for me.

How do you usually find the inspiration for your characters and their names?

Names in an MC can be hard! Trying to find ones that aren't super common takes some time. Plus theres always making sure you have a reason for why they got their nickname. Inspiration comes from a lot of life experiences, people I've met and randomly, dreams. I have to keep a notebook by my bed to write in so I dont forget something.

What is it about the relationship between Angel and Havoc that makes it so special?

Havoc and Angel were both so damaged by things that happened in their life caused in part by the same person. Their want for revenge bonds them together. Havoc is Angels rock while no one understands Havoc like Angel does.

If your character Havoc (from "HAVOC") were born and brought up by warm, Southern parents in Texas, what kind of person do you think he would be? What kind of career would he have and what kind of friends would he make?

Well.. he was born and raised near Austin and his Ma is the definition of southern charm but I think if he had a better example from his father he might have not been such an angry person. I still see him dealing with cars or bikes so probably a mechanic. Cessy still would have been his bestie, it happens when you grow up together.

Would you rather be best friends with Cessy or Angel? Why?

Oh my... Thats a hard one! I'd have to say Angel, I think. I am horribly impatient and short tempered so I dont think Cessy and I could be besties and not hurt one another.

What do you think makes your writing stand out amongst the vast ocean of other romance novels?

I hope to stand out amongst other MC books. There are far too many amazing romance authors to stand out from them all. However, within MC I hope to stand out with my female leads. I try to write women everyone would be proud to be or be friends with.

What are some no-fail tips you have for writing a good book?

Just write! You can always edit later but get the story out, write the words and go from there.

Where do you stand on traditional publishing vs. self-publishing? If you are not self-published/an indie author, would you ever consider it?

Im an indie author. I like having the control over my release dates and cover images but I think to each its own if you get a deal to be trad. published and it works for you, go for it!

What has been the best and worst parts about becoming a successful writer almost overnight?

For me success is measured in the readers and friends ive gained. I love that people are reading my books and like them, in the end, that's what matters. I will say having one of my favorite authors know who I was at a signing was an amazing feeling. I haven't really had a worst part. It's all been a crazy wonderful ride so far.
