      • Yes! In fact there are two (embarassing) situations in Who Says You Can't Go Home that were inspired by events in m own life! I wonder if you can guess which ones.

      • Marketing is king. I buy books based on the cover most of the time, they should give a sense of genre and tone, so I think cover art is very important. Titles, less so. There are many books out there with the same or similar titles and that's okay. But titles should also give a sense of tone and maybe let you know a bit about the book. For example, I think it's pretty clear that Who Says You Can't Go Home is a homecoming story.

      • My sweet Significant Other reads my reviews for me. He passes on the good ones for me to use in marketing and just doesn't tell me about the bad ones. The bad ones are often just not your audience and that's okay! Of course, there are the hilarious 1-stars that he does share with me for a laugh. ("This romance book had too much kissing" for example. LOL)

      • I've learned better how to write to market. It doesn't change WHAT I write, because those stories come from my heart, but it does help streamline how I write and how to make my stories more appealing to readers. And yes, I'm talking about tropes ;) I've also learned to not let little things bother me and to KEEP WRITING.
