About I'm the mother of two, Rowan's Oma, and married to the most wonderful man in the universe. Formerly, a teacher of the deaf and hard of hearing, I became a stay-at-home mom when my first child was born. Then I became a homeschooling mom, a theater mom, a robotics mom, a swim mom, and a karate mom. Now I feel as though I'm Mom to the congenital heart defect community.

I've recently published a 3-book series called "The Heart of a Heart Warrior" which is an anthology of essays and works of art by people like my daughter--people born with heart defects. I'm also a hybrid publisher helping another author publish the second book in her series on taking the fear out of finance. I love books, reading, writing, and helping others through written and spoken words.
