I always learn something from the writings of Karen Black. If I already knew some of those then I marvel at the truths contained in her books. the main character is so relatabl... e. She actually cleans out stalls, up to her elbows in manure, and there is never a sense of me vs. the beautiful people. I enjoyed this book so much and look forward to future works by Karen Black!
