BIOGRAPHY

I don’t preach about religion, politics or the environment. My characters have different points of view, some of which I disagree with. But I let my readers make their own minds up about the issues I raise in my novels.

I don’t write to a formula. I prefer reading books that don’t adhere to creative writing class principles. I HATE predictability – I much prefer to be surprised! And these are the kind of books I write – different, quirky, undefinable.

Having survived cancer, I am not afraid to explore the darkness. I still find my inspiration in the sea, vinyl music and in beautifully written books.

  - When I am allowed to write, I just write. I ignore everything else (emails/telephone/bills) and just simply write until I am exhausted.

  - Plenty of real life incidents can be found throughout all my books and series! The major real life event for me was cancer which I have tracked through Poetry in my book "Insides".

  - I learnt to read at an early and have always made up stories. Writing is as natural and essential to me as breathing. I've been writing seriously now for over 30 years.
