FEAR BREAKTHROUGH: A Medium's Journey to Embracing Spiritby Gina StrolePublish: Nov 01, 2019Religion & Spirituality |
I was Born In a small community In Utah called Vernal. My fondest memory is playing in the mud at our house when we were younger. My brother and I delighted in building rivers and streams through the yard. My parents, I don’t think delighted in that so much.
Which was the first book you wrote? Did you publish it or plan to?The Fear Breakthrough is my first published book. Although another one is coming soon. I have always had a desire to share my story. It has been on my mind heavily for the last 5 years or so. I always planned to have it published and will continue to publish books as long as I am able to do so.
What genre of books did you enjoy reading while growing up?I love murder mystery and romance book. That is my secret pleasure for sure.
When did you decide to become an Intuitive Healer and Medium?I can’t say that I ever really decided to be a healer or a medium. I have been pulled in that direction for the last 12 years. Sometimes the Universe has a way of just giving you what you should be doing. I feel that is my duty and privilege to be able to have that as my life mission. Coming out in the open as I have discussed in my book was very hard for me. But now that it is out there, I can’t imagine doing anything else.
How has been your experience of working with energy for the past 12 years?I started learning 12 years ago. I absolutely couldn’t get enough. Ironically enough, I started to heal my own self, that is what started this process for me. I had some issues that I just couldn’t seem to get rid of, despite all the normal treatments and decided energy healing was the answer for me. And now, to be able to help others heal the wounds of the past. It’s a true honor to be in this world of the supernatural.
Since how long have you been teaching Classes on Healing, Mediumship?I have spent the last 2 years teaching mediumship. I have also completed a yearlong certification course to be a certified teacher for mediumship. I really enjoy watching the lights turn on when others realize they too can connect with the spirit world. I believe we all have the ability, its just learning to open up that part of us and trusting that we too are able to connect.
What inspired the plot of your first novel, “FEAR BREAKTHROUGH?" How did you come up with the book title? The book title just came to me one day as I was brainstorming with a dear friend. And I knew that was it. And all my courses are now called the breakthrough ___________________. For me, it was a breakthrough to discover who I am, and why I’m am here.
What is the sweetest fan-mail/compliment that you have received for your writing? Which book was it for?I have received a lot of letters thanking me for sharing, but If I had to pick one, it would be a girl named Michelle. She stated that her story was very similar to mine and that the book “the fear breakthrough put so many things into perspective for her. I realized then that you just have no idea what an impact your words will make for someone. I just told my story, but to her, it was a changing moment.
What do you do when you get an idea for a book? Do you write it out immediately, or do you wait for it to incubate in your head for a while?I would have to say I do both. I wrote pretty much solid for 6 weeks for my last book. This new book, I have done it in sections. Because I’m sensitive to spirit, somedays become writing days, even when I had no intention of doing it. I feel I get my best work that way, but just listening to what is needed to be heard and writing it down.
Describe being an author in five words. What are some things you love and hate about the job?Being an author has been a new experience for me. I never saw myself as an author. I enjoyed the publishing and cover process. Writing weighed heavy on me as I felt the need to put a good book out there. One that was well written yet had the freedom to share the story. I have learned I don’t like editing. Let the professionals do that. They earn their money well.
What does "charity" work mean to you? What sort of charities are you involved with?Charity work to me means giving of my time and talents to the best of my abilities. Helping where I can and as I can. I love giving away sessions. For Christmas, I did the 12 days of Christmas and gave lots of free stuff away. I haven’t really spent any time with a charity program per say, I just do as I feel I’m guided to do, and as I feel my energy allows.
What is the most adventurous thing you have ever done?My husband ad I love to travel. We have been to several places all over the world including China, Peru, Belize, the Caribbean, lots of Mexico, and most recent was Ecuador where we visited the Amazon. For me, the Amazon was a place I would never have way myself going, also going to Machu Picchu was a dream come true. All of Peru was Amazing. Traveling just makes my heart sing.
If there was anything you could say to your younger self, what would you say?Let the expectations of others go. Be you! Do it well, no matter what others think or say.
Which is the next book you are writing? What is it about?I am also as intuitive healer and the next book will be about my healing journey and a self-help to help others start down their healing process.
How has your experience of being associated with AllAuthor been?I have enjoyed my time here with AllAuthor. I appreciate the insight the advertising and being able to connect with other authors. I’m really impressed with the people I have met along the way of becoming an author.
