Shaw is an extraordinary storyteller. Queen Alaria is a strong leader to root for. The characters inhabited an immersive world and made me laugh, cry, and cringe as I journeyed back in time. Sadly, there are many parallels to the world we live in today. Excellent story and the series is highly recommended for lovers of historical fiction.
