Michael is a poet and author, his first published collection of poetry ‘Sonnets of love and Life’ expressing his love of the English Sonnet.
Five further poetry books Of Ferris Wheels and Candy Floss, Blocks of Stone and Dark Steps,The Colours of my Rainbow and Sonnets of Love and Life 2.

His first novel in the Chronicle of Achren series ‘Thanatus’ introduced Almund Penny to the world followed by three Novellas ‘Drugar’ ‘Werwulf’ and ‘Ankou’
Michael, a massive history fan, brings much historical detail to even these fantasy books (although many liberties taken) One of the principal factors found within his poetry and writing is his love of Kent, his home county, and the exploration of historical events and places.
He loves historical fiction by: Conn Iggulden, M.C. Scott, Henry Sidebottom, Madeline Miller, Berwick Coates and Bernard Cornwell.
Reading many of these books far more times than can be seen as healthy, along with many other great storytellers and poets from Keats to Wordsworth, Shakespeare to Wilfred Owen, Vita Sackville West to Sylvia Plath.
Michael, a Man of Kent, husband, father and grandfather often found a camera in hand wandering the downs, ancient sites or by the seashore.
