My passion for romance writing sparked from my love of exploring human connections. Growing up, I was captivated by love stories in books and movies. I found myself constantly imagining new scenarios and relationships. Eventually, I realized I had stories of my own to tell – stories that could make readers feel, hope, and believe in love.

I believe the key to creating relatable characters is to make them multifaceted. I give each character a mix of strengths, flaws, and quirks. I also delve deep into their backgrounds, fears, and dreams. By understanding my characters fully, I can portray them as real people facing real challenges, which helps readers see themselves in the story.

I love surprising my readers! When plotting, I ask myself, "What would the reader least expect here?" Then I consider if that twist serves the story and characters. If it does, I weave it in gradually, dropping subtle hints so it feels both surprising and inevitable when it happens.

I'm a bit of both – a plotter and a pantser. I start with a general outline, knowing the key plot points and character arcs. But I leave room for spontaneity. Often, my characters surprise me as I write, taking the story in unexpected directions. This blend of planning and flexibility keeps the writing process exciting for me.

The biggest challenge in "Dominant Protector" was balancing the power dynamics. I wanted to portray a strong, dominant character without crossing into unhealthy territory. It required careful character development and constant reflection on consent and mutual respect within the relationship.

For me, the key is focusing on emotion and sensation rather than explicit details. I try to capture the characters' feelings, the tension, the anticipation. It's about creating an atmosphere of intimacy. I also believe that what's left to the imagination can be just as powerful as what's described.

I strive to explore different facets of love and desire in each book. Sometimes it's about the thrill of new love, other times it's the comfort of a deep connection. I also vary the challenges my couples face – be it external obstacles or internal conflicts. Ultimately, it's the unique combination of characters and their personal journeys that keeps each story fresh.

While I don't have personal experience with mafia bad boys or surprise babies, I did draw inspiration from real-life emotions and situations. The fear of unexpected life changes, the excitement of forbidden attraction, the complexity of family loyalties – these are all things many of us can relate to, even if our lives aren't quite as dramatic!

Research is crucial for authenticity. I start with extensive reading – books, articles, and personal accounts. For contemporary settings, I often interview people in similar professions or situations as my characters. It's important to me to represent different cultures and experiences respectfully and accurately.

The happy ending is a cornerstone of romance for me. It's what gives readers hope and satisfaction. However, I do believe in earned happy endings – ones that come after genuine struggle and growth. While I primarily write HEAs (Happily Ever Afters), I have considered exploring HFNs (Happy For Now) endings for some stories, as they can feel more realistic in certain scenarios.

Constructive criticism is valuable for growth, so I try to approach it with an open mind. I consider whether the critique has merit and if it aligns with my vision for the story. However, I also recognize that not every book will resonate with every reader. When it comes to portraying relationships and intimacy, I stand by my choices if I believe they serve the story and characters well.

Forbidden romance is all about tension and longing. There's something inherently exciting about wanting what you can't or shouldn't have. I think readers are drawn to it because it heightens emotions and raises the stakes. It also often forces characters to question societal norms or personal beliefs, leading to profound character growth.

Read widely in the genre, but also outside of it. Write consistently, even when inspiration is low. Join writing communities for support and feedback. Most importantly, write the stories that excite you – your passion will shine through in your work.

I'm excited about my upcoming books that blend romance with light suspense. It's a new challenge for me, balancing the love story with mystery elements. I'm also considering dipping my toes into paranormal romance – the worldbuilding aspect intrigues me.
