I’ve had the chance to explore your work, and it really caught my interest. I’d be curious to hear what you’re working on now or what sparked the idea behind your latest book. Always enjoy connecting with fellow authors in the same space.
What’s been the most rewarding part of your writing journey so far?
No worries at all, I completely understand and I appreciate your response. I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the writing process; that's really the heart of it, isn't it?
I can definitely relate to the challenge of marketing, it can feel like a whole different world from writing. I’ve been working with a marketing agency that’s been helping me get my books in front of a wider audience and it’s made a real difference. If you’re interested, I’d be happy to connect you with them.
Hi, Volker. I apologize for the delay in answering your question. Having my first book, Reflections of a Misfit, published broke the ice for me, and I've been writing ever since. How about you?
No need to apologize, I’m glad to hear from you! Congratulations on publishing Reflections of a Misfit, getting that first book out into the world is such a big step, and it’s great to hear it opened the door to more writing for you.
For me, it started with journalism. I always had a deep interest in history, particularly the atmosphere of 1920s and 30s Berlin, a city full of tension, creativity, and change. That fascination led me to fiction and, eventually, to creating Inspector Gereon Rath and his world.
