BIOGRAPHY

I love vibrant worlds, rich cultures and multilayered characters. I write the kind of books I like to read, generally for a mature audience, aiming to explore deeper topics through authentically realized emotions and drawing parallels with the real world.

I'm an avid fantasy reader and PC gamer, fascinated by history, lore and biology. ARK: Survival Evolved, Lord of the Rings Online and Neverwinter Nights are among my favourite games of all time. Gaming has had a huge influence on my writing and how I think about fantasy.

I devour as many fantasy books as I can get my hands on, with the occasional diversion into science fiction or purely historical fiction. Genre-bending, trope-smashing and upside down perspectives are always welcome. I seek novelty and aim to create it in my own work.

      • Don't push it. If the inspiration isn't there on a given day, don't try to force it into being. You'll only end up rewriting anything you manage to put down at a later date. You have to allow yourself to be vulnerable in order to write expressively, so look after yourself first. Make sure you feel comfortable and safe - physically and emotionally - in your writing environment. Sometimes I cry when I'm writing - or get really angry. You need to feel comfortable enough to delve into those emotions. If you're stuck, jot down some rough ideas and let them percolate for a few days. Stress is the enemy of creativity, so try to allow yourself time to just sit still and let your imagination do its thing.
