BIOGRAPHY
O. J. Barré writes myth-steeped urban fantasy that fuses Celtic lore with contemporary cities, exploring identity, found family, and ecological peril. Their stories pair fierce heroines with uncanny allies—dragons, spirits, and talking animal elders—to ask what it truly takes to heal a broken world.

Neurodivergent superpowers give O.J. the chops to write complex characters with humor and sensitivity. As they quest to save the world and each other, these folks must deal with all-too-real issues of anxiety, panic, depression, addiction, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and other –isms.

Hailing from the lushly forested, red-clay hills near Atlanta, Georgia, O.J. now lives in Cheyenne, Wyoming, with a burly black Maine Coon, Rambo. Her daddy's mother was a Willoughby, making O.J. a direct descendant of William the Conqueror. Her Awen series is a love letter to that distant past.

ON THE HORIZON: Preorder Crossed, Cursed, & Nearly Dead today. A spinoff set in the Awen Universe, this urban fantasy thriller features the three 50-something women who come in hot in Awen Tide. They deal with ageism, sexism, and their own rebelling bodies while kicking supernatural butt in Atlanta, GA — and aiding in the integration of Above and UnderEarth.
