Actually I've been writing since grade school. One of my teachers saw that I had a knack for it and encouraged me. She gave me writing assignments as part of my homework. I enjoyed these assignments because it didn't really seem like homework.
There is no feeling in the world like the one you get for being recognized and appreciated for your work. It connects you with people and makes you realize what joy we can give and derive from simple words.
