What were you like as a child? Whom was your role model growing up?
As a child, I was quiet and shy but smart and adventurous. My maternal grandmother taught me early on the importance of a relationship with God and modeled the significance of tertiary education.
What do you enjoy the most about gospel music?
I love gospel music because it inspires, encourages, instills hope, and promotes the good news of Jesus Christ. Some of my favorite gospel music artists are Yolanda Adams, Donnie McClurkin, Marvin Sapp, and Dewayne Woods.
What are the most memorable childhood adventures that you have shared with your friends?
Growing up in Trinidad and Tobago was my fondest and most memorable childhood experience. I spent a lot of time outdoors, going to the beach, camping, hiking, and picking guavas and mangoes. As a child, I thought nothing could beat the taste of a juicy calabash mango or a freshly picked ripe guava.
What was your childhood dream? Did you always want to be a writer?
My childhood dreams involved traveling the world. The idea of becoming a writer did not cross my mind until much later in my life
Who is a part of your family? How critical are they of your writing?
When I think about family, it not only includes my immediate family but also my cousins. I have several family members who are writers and influenced me to become an author. In his lifetime, my father emphasized the importance of publishing a book and inspired my current book, “Who Cares?” A Guided Self-Help & Devotional Journal for the Seasons of Life.
You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?
Purple represents royalty, wisdom, and spirituality, so I would be purple. 1 Peter 2:9 reminds me that
“I’m a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession …”
What was your reaction when "WHO CARES?" became a bestseller?
I was excited about reaching the #1 Amazon Kindle Best Seller list and receiving a Readers' Favorite Silver Award in the Biblical Counseling category. Marketing promotions play a crucial role in producing # 1 best-seller results.
What is the importance of a self-help & devotional journal?
A Self-Help & Devotional Journal allows individuals to pause and reflect on inspiring or sacred writings that can motivate and transform their lives.
Are there any phrases from your books that you're particularly proud of? Inversely, are there any phrases you wish you could rewrite?

Nobody is holding you back but you. Excuses can handicap and cause you to be a prisoner to your fears. Identify someone who can hold you accountable for your excuses, and say to yourself, “No more limitations.”
Reflection: What are your excuses? Do you have an accountability partner? Is there anyone you can think of who could fill such a role in your life?
Currently, I’m pleased with my work, but always open to improvements.
What are your tips for penning a catchy and intriguing book title?
I struggled with an intriguing book title. Ultimately, I decided to go with a title suggested by a friend, and I was glad I did. Later, I surveyed my book title and received excellent feedback. To develop catchy and intriguing titles, I recommend thoroughly researching your book titles and covers.
Who has been the biggest support system in your journey as a writer?
My biggest support came from my faith in God, who provided me with wisdom and guidance in writing my journal book. The second biggest support system was definitely my friends and family.

What is something that people don’t usually know about being an author?
I think most people don’t know how to develop a marketing plan to be financially successful. According to marketing research, the most financially successful ($10,000 + per month) authors have an average of 50 books and spend 26 hours writing.
What are your top five writing and marketing tips that you would share with the young writers out there?
a. As a non-fiction Inspirational Christian writer, the keys to effective writing were centered on transparency and expertise on the topic. I personally shared the impact of journaling in my life and how it can be an effective tool to help improve mental and emotional well-being.
