Since how long have you been living in Malta?
Almost three years. I can honestly tell you that I hate these two small islands and I am only dreaming about the day when I will have the chance to go far away from here. There is nothing like the rest of Europe and to be honest, I don't know why I chose to come here.
What developed your love for travelling?
The need for knowledge. I love to meet new people, new cultures. I love to see different countries and to live in each of them for a while so I can learn a bit about all. I love to travel only by car because like that I can see everything and I can stop anywhere I want.
Which is been your best trip by car so far?
The first one was from Germany to Romania in 2015 with the love of my life. That was the moment we decided to be together forever no matter what. The sound one was from the UK to Germany and from Germany to Spain, we decide to surprise my father so we crossed all France, which is huge, and we arrived at my father's house at 2 o'clock in the morning. He was in shock when he saw me.
What, in your opinion, are the most important elements of good writing?
I am not sure how to answer this question as I am new to this world and I am still learning every day a bit about writing but I think the plot is the most important as far as is unique.
At what age did you begin writing your first story? What was it about?
When I was a kid I use to write poems but I don't have them anymore. I started to write my first non-fiction story in January 2020. It a story from my life. It is about me having a relationship with a married man. Don't judge me so hard before you read it.
What made you decide to become a writer in December 2019?
I had a job where my boss treated me so bad so I decided to quit and never work again for someone. My husband told me for so many years to start to write and especially to start to publish the stories I had them already but I thought that nobody will be interested in my stories and to be honest I was never ready but this time I had to do it so I can have some income. In the end, I realized I will never have an income from writing but I still write because now writing is part of me and my life, is what I am and what I will be until I will die.
What inspired the plot of your book, Insomnia?
One year of insomnia, one year of not being able to sleep in the night. One night I was sitting on the couch, it was so quiet in the house, and I just started to write the first chapter of the book. The red door from the first chapter is real actually, it was on the street I use to live when I wrote it. The buildings of that street were so dark and creepy and the red door inspired me of writing the first chapter. For the rest of the book, I just had a very sick imagination at that time because of the fact that I couldn't sleep.
How did you come up with the character of Izabela in "The Driver"?
Izabela is actually me or part of myself. The Driver and all my books have something from my real life but only the people who know will understand that.
What challenges did you face while writing your book, Where is the killer?
This book should be different, again the story has something from my real life, but I couldn't write it as I wanted because I should involve too much a person from my life with the main character which I didn't develop so much in the book.
Which one do you prefer: writing a series or a standalone novel? Why?
Both of them actually.
What other things, apart from writing do you enjoy doing?
I love to do interviews for other authors, I love cooking, traveling, reading, and watching Netflix.
What is the great question you do not understand from your childhood until now?
I have too many, to be honest, but the greatest of all is: Why I was send to Earth? What do I have to do here to complete my life? I don't want to die without doing something great, something people will remember, so I am still searching for the answer.
If you could improve one thing about your writing, what would it be and why?
I would love to learn more sophisticated words as I don't like so much to use the regular ones.
Is there anything new that you're working on? When can we expect the next book to come out?
I have so many titles and so many stories to finish. But the ones they will come out this year are Life as a woman, by the end of February. Do you remember, by the end of February too. Black Stones and New Era New Generation maybe by summer and the rest I don't know to be honest. The big surprise though will be a book with a unique world and a unique kind of vampires. I hope this book will be the one to make famous.
