Janet Kay lives and writes on a lake in the woods of Northern Wisconsin. Drawn to nature, the supernatural, and the Victorian era, she integrates these themes into her psychological suspense novels. They are set in intriguing places ranging from the old western ghost town of Nevada City, Montana to the haunted Galveston Island on the Gulf of Mexico, and finally, the wilderness islands of Rainy Lake on the Minnesota/Ontario international border.

Her latest novel, Rainy Lake Rendezvous, was endorsed by New York Times bestselling author William Kent Krueger.
