Rarely. But yes in terms of "spiritual abuse" I experienced in certain church circles (=verbal abuse, financial abuse, emotional manipulation) and PTSD (as experienced by myself and people I've known). But I've never exactly fought off zombies, flown a space yacht, or exchange blaster rifle fire with space pirates, so they weren't my experiences lol.
The one that gets my blood up? Publishers and indie authors putting their novels in inappropriate Amazon categories so they crowd out genuine subgenre titles. Just stop it guys. A military space opera is not a time travel romance. A time travel romance is not a post-apocalyptic book.
